The married Roxie Hart is a vaudeville wannabe who is dating a man who loves the night life. Her husband almost takes the blame for killing him until he realizes his wife is having an affair.

Both Kelly and Hart are sent to Cook County Jail along with a host of murderous mistresses. They share more than just a correctional facility, however, as Billy Flynn is both girls’ lawyer. Flynn throws himself into Hart’s defense and makes his client famous in the process. Her newfound fame has Kelly fuming, and the two are at odds. The show features Michelle DeJean as Roxie Hart and Nancy Lemenager and Velma Kelly. DeJean has been in other productions of Chicago along with productions like West Side Story and Jesus Christ Superstar. Jeff McCarthy plays Billy Flynn and is no stranger to Broadway with roles in shows like Beauty and the Beast, city of Angels, Lockstock in Urinetown and Les Miserables. The cast is rounded out with Carol Woods as Mama Morton, Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart and D. Micciche as Mary Sunshine.

This Tony Award-winning production should surely be on top of the list of any theater buff. John Kander wrote the music with hits like “Razzle Dazzle,” “All That Jazz” and “Cell Block Tango.” Fred Ebb wrote the lyrics and co-wrote the book with Bob Fosse. The musical is based on the play by Maurine Dallas Watkins, who based the play on her stories as a reporter for the Chicago Tribune. do cat lovers hate non cat lovers?

I foolishly answered a question on how to stop cats fighting by suggesting that the cats got costumes and fancy names and held a tournament to decide on the best cat. This got me a violation! ( again!) Is this proof that cat lovers hate non cat lovers or do cat lovers have no sense of humour? I wonder how long it will take them to give me a violation for this one!?

Cat lovers have a great sense of humor, there are just some people who do not - whether they love cats or not.
I'm a huge cat lover and wonder why non-cat lovers loath cats so much, but I don't hate them. To each his own.

On Halloween, when all the spooks in spook Dom are on the loose, it is good to gather close at home and invite your friends in to meet the friendly spooks at your house.

To the children at our house a family Halloween party ranks first. They love to invite their friends and their friends' parents. For us parents there is no grander way to get acquainted with the families of our children's friends. Let us tell you about our last Halloween party. A week or so before the big night we sent out the invitations in the form of big black cats. The family joined in cutting them out. On the big bushy tails we printed in white ink:

Each invitation included every member of the family and was addressed to the entire family.
The front door was fastened with a chain which permitted the spook host to open the door only far enough to flash a light in the arriving guest's face for the "once over" before admitting him. Without a word he pointed to the floor. Two sets of white cardboard footprints led the way to the several bedrooms where wraps were to be deposited. The male contingent followed the large footprints; the women and children the smaller ones.

While the guests were gathering much time was spent in admiring each other's costumes and examining the house which was decorated for the occasion. All the floor and table lamps wore Halloween shades. Black and orange cut-out witches, bats and cats were everywhere on the walls. Black cats and horrible skulls and crossbones leered from every mirror. Black and orange crepe-paper chains were strung across the tops of windows, doorways, and across the ceiling in the dining room from the center chandelier to the four corners of the room. With the dimmed light the effect was weird and highly decorative.

As soon as all the guests arrived each was given a large spool and one end of a string. These strings had been arranged so that they crossed each other and wound here and there about the room beneath carpets, around chair rungs and behind pictures. All led to one large black cardboard spider hanging in the center of the room. At a given signal everyone began winding. The winner was the one who reached the spider first with all his string wound on his spool he was then given the spider as a prize. Incidentally, this game is a very good "ice breaker." Each one's undignified scramble for his string removed all diffidence and everyone was ready for a good time.

Now you know how to decorate your house and turn it into scary and dreary place to frightened all of your guest in Halloween night.

You should try to find a purple/pink striped shirt and stockings, perhaps arm warmers or gloves like the ones here: http://www.alice-in-wonderland.net/shop/cheshire-cat-costumes.html

You can easily make a tail yourself: just get a fluffy fabric, sew the sides except one part with you use to turn it inside out, stuff it with cotton, and sew it shut.
I think home-made ears will be doable as well, if you sew them onto a headband.

Every Halloween we have to be creative. We have to dress up both our kids and ourselves, and we need to decorate our homes. But when you have to do this year after year, sometimes you begin to run out of ideas. It’s hard to be new and different every Halloween. Your child’s probably tired of being Superman or Wonder Woman year after year. Why not choose a more natural look this Halloween? Dress them up as a tiger or bear, or some other animal costume. Halloween Costume Help PLEASE!!??

My friends and I are going to a Halloween Party on October 27th. There will be 4 of us going as a group and wanted to do a theme for all our costumes. The Theme is Cat In The Hat, my friend and I are dressing up as Thing 1 and Thing 2, her husband is going as The Cat, and a 4th friend of ours is wanting to go as the Fish who tells the children to behave and such, but we're not sure how to make that costume. Any help would be appreciated and pictures will get you the best answer!! Thanks in advance!!

You might want to take 3 rings, the middle one about the size of a hula hoop and the other wide enough to fit your feet and head through. Overlay it with blue cloth to create the bowl. The color his hair orange and paint his face orange with fish scales. Hopefully this will give you some where to start.

my cat ran away?

she ran away last friday (today is thursday). we got her at the shelter (she was a stray) when she was about a year. we then got another cat, and thye got along. this past halloween we got a kitten, and they were all getting along fine. we have a screened porch that we let them on, they are indoor cats, with no collar or tags, and not microchipped. the door was broken, and she escaped in the middle of the night. we've put food and water in the yard, posted signs, informed neighbors, etc but there still have been no signs. what else can we do?!?!? please no rude comments. we live next to a pond, so she can get fresh water, and she is a friendly cat. the stray that she used to hiss at when it came in our yard hasnt been seen latley either. she is also fixed, and a tortie.usually when she snuck out, she would stay in the front bush. we also shook her favorite treats and called her around the yard. any suggestions?!?! no rude comments please!

I have had cats that just run away. I don't know if some else decided they were stray and decided to keep them or what. You am not saying this to be mean, just honest. It is possible your cat got run over. Every state has a company that takes care of animals hurt in that fasion. If their is no id then they can't notify you.

If you are in a larger city maybe check craig's list, people put found animals on there as well as in the paper. I assume you already checked your local pound. Other wise there isn't much you can do. Collars and tags are pretty cheap, just the cat name and a phone # is advised even if you don't plan on letting the cat outside.

Halloween Costume. Black cat costume ideas, how to make it more exciting?

I need ideas for:

Ears and tails: A pair of dollar store hollaween cat ears(at buck or two or dollarama) For the tail you could put a house-coat belt and sew it to your pants(or just stuff it down your pants)

Whiskers: You could draw them on or glue them on(with face glue or something[face glue actually exists =O ] )

Nose: Draw a nose on with a face pencil or eye-liner

Makeup: Put lots of eyeliner around your eyes(so it looks nice of course) and not to heavy, but heavy enough, maskara.

Nails: At the dollar store(sorry, i was just at buck or two, I know their inventory ) they are selling long nails(plastic of course) for only a dollar or two(funny, huh?)

Accessories: I dont think you need any but if you MUST ABSOLUTELY HAVE ACCESORIES then buy some black mittens and cut the fingers off(of the mitten so you can put the nails on)

Shoes: I would sugest to wear high heals because cat feet sorta look like high heels(one inch only or you'll break your foot)

Hair: Put it back in a bun or in a pony tail(do you have extentions? if so, the ponytail will work better than a bun)
