There are many movies and TV shows that we can be addicted to, especially when we are a fanatic of a certain character. One of the most outstanding movie series today is "Batman". It was adapted from a fictional comic book, premiered in 1960's and until now it's still majority's all time favorite. Often times, people seen him as irresponsible, superficial playboy and gets what he wants because of his family's wealth fortune.When he was a boy, Bruce Wayne got a trauma when the physician Dr. Thomas Wayne and his wife Martha was being murdered in front oh his very eyes.He was deeply horrified. How long can you leave a cat home alone?
Im not talking months, but if i wanted to leave for 2-4 days would that be ok? I have a food/water dispenser and there is no way hes eating or drinking all of that in 2-4 days. Also have an automatic litter box emptier.
Yes, I'd leave large amounts of food scattered around the house in bowls. I would also confine the cat to a smaller space. I would definitely leave water bowls around the house, because I don't trust auto-water dispensers. I would also NOT hire someone to care for flowers, because the cat might freak out. I would leave lots of toys out and scratching posts.
Also, make sure you don't leave any hazardous things out...I can't tell you how many times a person said, "I left on a week vacation, and my cat ate something, and it wasn't supposed to be eaten." I ask, "How big was it?" The person says, "It was a lego."
Legos are fruity-looking bright things to kitties. They will eat them, especially if you leave the cat at home without anyone to give it limits.
Anyways, when you return, I would give it tuna. Tuna is cocaine for kitties.

Do You Have to Leave Your Cat at Home Alone?
Remember the “Home Alone” movies? Remember all the mischief that young boy got into? Now, imagine that’s your cat. Our pets must sometimes be left alone. Perhaps, it’s everyday, when you have to go to work. Your cat can be lonely without you. You need to give it some things to keep it busy and out of trouble.
If you can provide a companion cat, preferably a sibling, your cat will be better behaved and remain playful well into adulthood. Having another cat to romp and play with will help solve the problem of being alone.
You should definitely consider providing your cat with it’s own furniture where it can scratch to it’s hearts content. That could be just a Scratching Post or a cat condo. The cat condo gives it a place to play or rest and will accommodate more than one cat. Secondly, provide some catnip toys. Cats love to push these little guys around, eventually hiding them for you to find later, pushed under the door of a closet or cabinet. There are also interactive toys, like Peek-A-Prize that can keep them busy for a long time. Keep their toys where they can easily find them. If you provide a ‘toy box’ they will know where to look.
A cat sometimes has a short attention span, so, the more diversions the better for keeping it entertained and out of trouble. With the proper surroundings, your cat can be kept safe, your furniture preserved and your precious pet will be happier.
Another thing to consider for you home alone kitties is an automatic litter box. Cats can become disenchanted with a dirty litter box and sometimes stop using them. If you provide an automatic litter box, your cats will be happier and you can rest knowing you won't come home to a messy litter box or unhappy cats.

Do you think it is worth rescuing a cat or a kitten if you plan on keeping it in a cage until it gets adopted?
In other words, I have other cats that will start peeing all over my house if I bring in a new cat. So I have a "Kitty Condo" that I could take a cat from a shelter and "rescue" it, but it would have to live in this large cage. I could give it all the vet care it needs, spay or neuter it, but it would still have to live in the cage until it is adoptable and someone adopts it.
It would not get the socialization of living in a house "underfoot" as it were. It would get human attention but it would have to live in a cage.
Would it end up being a good pet for someone? Or would it be better to leave it at the shelter, even if it might get put to sleep?
With your situation, I would recommend only rescuing adult cats that are already friendly as raising a kitten in that situation could result in it being too shy and standoffish with strangers.
I have a spare room I keep my fosters in, but, I set a time limit for how long they live in that room. They come out and play on a daily basis and if I haven't found them a home after a few weeks they start getting more and more time out of the room..
Cats are pretty hard to find good homes for, so, any cat you rescue you should rescue knowing that it may very well become your cat eventually. You need to think up what seems fair. To me, after three months they have free roam with the rest of my cats, after 6 months they're my cat.
I can now only foster one at a time as I'm pretty much at my limit for cats I can keep.
My best piece of advice is to really get to know the cat so you can tell people every aspect of it's personality. People want to know whether a cat likes to be held more, if they claw, stuff like that.

Cat Training For A Happy And Healthy Pet
For the most part it is not necessary to instruct felines. These animals are mostly independent, not requiring excessive supervision. Despite their tendency toward appropriate behavior, young cats and formerly feral adults might have learned to act poorly, particularly if they were once abandoned, born wild, subject to inattention or indifference, or maltreated.
An unexpected source of such animals is kittens purchased from retailers or "cat mills." Fortunately, felines are generally fastidious, and most easily take to using a litter box.
The most important part that you must not forget in cat training is to reward the animal for behaving the way you want it to. Most owners just focus on punishment for their pet when they do something wrong, such as clawing on the furniture.
But, then the problem is that the cat does not understand what they did wrong or understand the point your trying to convey to them.
One of the things cats love to do most is scratch, they also need to do this. The reason is because it helps them remove the old layers of their nails. So its essential that you purchase your cat something to scratch on like a Scratching Post.
They may not use them at first because they will prefer their normal spots of clawing. The good news is though that you can train a cat to use them! One way to do this is to confine the kitten to one room that contains its scratching and climbing posts and with nothing else to scratch or climb on it iwll eventually use them.
If the cat continues to resist using the scratching post, you need to make it more attractive to the cat by putting treats on its various platforms and sprinkling catnip around the post.
However, any attempt to make the cat do anything it doesn't care to do is doomed to failure, and a mistake tat many people commit during kitten training. Do not force the cat to place its claws onto the post in an attempt to force it to use the post, becuase this will ensure that the cat will never want to use the post again.
If you reward your cat properly in cat training, you can get your cat to obey some commands. These commands include "Meow," "Sit Up," and even "Fetch"- commands just like those dogs would receive. Make sure to reward the cat immediately for following a command or otherwise the cat will not associate the reward with obeying the order.
Using a clicker, as is typical of dog training, also helps; when your cat obeys a command, make it click and reinforce the instruction by giving the cat a treat.
While you are performing cat training it is necessary to use only rewards that are not damaging your pet's well-being. Also, do not abuse them or harm them mentally or physically.
Such behavior could make your animal apprehensive or fearful, and damage your day-to-day interactions with the cat. However, learning good behavior is beneficial to the feline, and will make things more jouyous for both you and them.

Introducing cat to dogs?
Hey there. Thx for reading. I have recently moved interstate with my partner into his parents house and they have two dogs. I have one cat. We tried to introduce them today and they were curious to smell her but not aggressive and only one got close once. My cat however hisses and goes to claw them its only for a few months until we find our own place but will this stop and how do I make it? She has a climbing post, real high and a cat run. Please help!!
It takes a lot of time for an older cat to accept a dog. Depending on how long your are plan on living with his folks, it might just be better to keep the cat and dogs separated.
But, the way to introduce a cat to a dog, is to start slow, and far away, hold the cat in one corner of the room, and the dogs another. Start moving slowly closer together until the dogs or cat start reacting. Than take a step back. Stop. Next day, do this again, only stop at the point you stopped yesterday. Again, wait for reaction, if no reaction, start moving closer. Use lots of treats. Anytime you move the cat and the cat makes no reaction, treat. Its slow! but possible.
