The bonsaikitten.com scandal. Raising bonsai cats is just a joke; bonsai trees are reality and an Art.

The depictions and pictures on raising bonsai cats on the website bonsaikitten.com are obviously just jokes; Nature cannot be forced to impossibilities.

Basically the articles on the website talk about little kittens put in an angular shaped glass, and after a time the kittens grow up into bonsai cats of angular shape.

The website details the technological process, illustrated with manipulated texts and pictures. All what we see there is false, just a nightmare of a sick mind.

Animal protecting organizations and people passionately protest against this website, but even FBI cannot do anything, the website still has been existing. The American student who has created it under a false name is unknown. It is to be feared that credulous people or children could try the first steps of producing bonsai kittens.

A huge number of protesting and circulars have been published in order to protect bonsai kitten and against the website. Endeavors to put a "Just a joke" notice on the bonsai kitten website proved to be unsuccessful.

In opposite of the theory of bonsai kitten producing the tradition and culture of bonsai trees reach back to more thousand years. It origins from China. Later Japanese monks took it to their homeland.

Japanese masters raised it to high artistic levels. The culture of bonsai arrived to Europe a couple of centuries ago, and is spreading with an undiminished energy. My sister works in a company which required her to travel practically to all continents around the world. In such travels, she always bring with her some ornaments representing the different cultures of the places she visited. Her collection include a statue of Anubis, a Tiki statue from Hawaii, Egyptian cat figurines and papyrus with pictures of Horus and other ancient Egyptian gods. It may seem to be a very beautiful collection to look at, at first. But I do believe it may have implications as far as faith is concern (re: graven idols). She'd like to believe its harmless as she's into it for aesthetic reasons. I do admit the craftsmanship on the figurines are very impressive. What are your thoughts on this?

Pneumonia can be one of the more severe complications if the flu is not able to be controlled. Isolate your cat from other cats you may have in the home, the flu is contagious.

 

Disinfect feeding and watering utensils and the surrounding environment with household bleach and water.

 

Wash your hands and clothing after handling a sick cat.

hi flow cat creating alot of heat?

i just got my hi flow cat by megan racing for my 1999 maxima se. i installed it and test drove the car. when i got bak i recalled a slight burning smell so i checked underneath the car and i saw lots of smoke exiting the gasket from cat to y pipe. i could not se anything burning and dont have a thermometer to check for the hottest point. wondering if anyone had some insight as to what is burning and why. or if i need to tighten the bolts more which would require me to purchase a breaker bar.

The Secrets of Healing Cat Wounds

If you have a cat, then you know that they can get into some mischief. If you let them go in and out as they please, you will find that sometimes your cat will come back home with various bites and scratches from a cat fight. If you notice that your cat is developing an abscess on its wound, you can take care of this yourself at home. Because most cats are naturally resistant to infections, a cat getting an infected wound is not uncommon. If you are worried at all about your cat's wound, you will need to take it to a vet immediately and seek treatment.

The cause of the abscess is bacteria that had found its way inside the wounds. A cat's mouth is full of dangerous bacteria that can be deposited into the wound by licking it. Reasons that the cat came home with the wound in the first place might be because of a bite that was given to it by a tomcat, because the cat was defending its territory. That means that bacteria from another cat can also infect the wounds as well. Besides fighting, a cat can get an abscess in the mouth, usually in older cats. This is because of a lack of proper dental care for the cat.

How do you know if your cat has an abscess? The wound will look swollen and be warm to the touch. There is also usually a soft lump present which when touched is probably painful to the cat. If the abscess is left alone for too long, your cat will experience a loss of appetite and fever. This will need to be treated quickly so that you can prevent an infection from going deeper into the tissue. Not seeking treatment can worsen your cat's condition and shorten their life span maybe even dying as a result of an untreated infection.

If you take your cat to a vet, they will provide your cat with the care it needs. If the wound is too serious, surgery may be called for in order to get all of the infection out of the cat. What all cat owners need to do it be observant with their cat. If you let it roam around outside, know that it will get into its fair share of trouble. Make sure to check your cat after long periods of time away from home and make sure that there are no visible wounds. If there is a cut, scrape, or bite, make sure to clean the wound before you take your cat to the vet. And if your cat gets another abscess, make sure to take it to the vet again. You will need to check to make sure that it isn't worse than the time before. It is also important to follow all of the care instructions that your vet gives you. This way, your cat will heal from the abscess and can live a longer, happier life with you.

Pregnant Feral Cat has skin disease (i think)?

I try to feed any left overs I might have to the feral cats in my neighborhood (there are about 4) and, even though i have a dog, I've had a cat give birth to kittens in my yard twice.
Now, there is a cat, she's pregnant and about to give birth. She is friendly, and she lets me pet her sometimes. The thing is, she has developped a skin condition I have never come across before. On the base of her tail, on the upper side of it, there is no hair at all and now it has a small (2cm length) crust which seems dark red, like dried blood. I know it's not a cut, because I noticed she was missing hair about a month ago (and she didnt have the crust then). It doesn't seem painful tho, as far as I can tell.
I'd like to try and help her, especially if it could threaten her young ones, if you have any idea what it is or what products (cremes or whatever) I could use on her, given that I can't take her to the vet, it'd be great.

Could be ring worm???? Maybe flea's????

Either of those can be harmful to kittens.

But it could just be dry skin. *shrug* No way to know without seeing it.

Neutering of Cats - Advantages and Disadvantages

Many people believe neutering is cruel to cats. The truth, however, is a bit different. Neutering not only prevents the cat from having kitten, but it also keeps the cat healthy.

According to a survey from 1995, about 80% of the cats and dogs in the USA are spayed or neutered.

What Does Neutering Mean?

Neutering is a routine surgery for removal of the cat's sex organs. After this surgery, the cat is unable to reproduce. In addition, the procedure stops the production of sexual hormones which cause the cat's sexual behavior. The decision whether to neuter your cat or not is one of the most important decisions that a cat owner has to take.

What Exactly is Done during the Surgery?

Neuter is a very simple and routine surgery performed in veterinary medicine. The cat should not be feed the night before because anesthesia is performed on an empty stomach. When the procedure is for male cats, it is called castration, while for female cats it is known as spaying.

Castration involves the removal of the gonads, or testicles. This intervention removes the sperm source and the source of testosterone. Under general anesthesia, two small incisions are made in the scrotum's skin and both testicles are removed. In other words, the male cat is castrated.

Female cats undergo spaying which is the removal of the uterus and the ovaries. A small area on the stomach is shaved and a little incision is made. The ovaries and the uterus are removed through this incision. This surgery is equivalent to a full hysterectomy.

When Should a Cat be Neutered?

Most vets recommend the cat undergoes this procedure when it is about six months old, before the car reaches sexual maturity. However, this may vary for the different cats. A common practice in the USA is cats to be neutered while they are very young, and sometimes cats aged eight weeks undergo such surgery.

A pregnant female cat can be neutered, too, but it may be very dangerous for the mother, especially if the procedure is performed in late pregnancy.

How Long Does the Rehabilitation Take?

Males cats are usually back to their normal lives on the day after the surgery. Female cats need some more time - about one or two days later they will be healthy.

The Advantages of Neutering

Most cat owners don't know exactly why they should neuter their cats. Here is a quick list of some of the key reasons.

- Male cat usually develop some undesirable changes in their behavior after their puberty, when they are approximately 6-8 months old. These changes include marking of their territory by spraying urine around the house, or expanding their territory and spraying urine outside and around the house. This is usually one of the reasons for cats being involved in car accidents. You can prevent these changes by neutering your cat.

- Neutering stops the cat spaying in the house. Urine is unsanitary and has a bad odor that can't be removed easy.

- Neutering will remove heat cycles at females. These heats occur several timed every year and cause some behavioral changes such as kneading, howling and restlessness. Also, it will prevent the cat from spraying. Neutering reduces the risk of mammary cancer and eliminates the development of pyometra - a serious infection of the uterine.

- Neutered cats cannot reproduce and will not have unwanted kittens.

- Neutering will make a female cat more attentive and loving. It will also protect her from sexually transmitted infections and some cancers.

- A neutered female cat will not attract males that urinated in her territory to mark her as their property.

- Neutered cats are more affectionate and calmer. They are more interested in their owners and are more social with people. Some statistics show that neutered male cats live longer than male cats that are not neutered.

The Disadvantages of Neutering

- Neutered cat cannot have kittens. Do not perform this surgery if you want to breed your cat.

- Some neutered cats make gain extra weight after the surgery because they will not use their energy to find mates, as they did before.

Is there something at a store i can bye my cat for a UTI or do I have to take her to the vet?

She has peed on our couch and our clothing, she's is spayed. She 3 years old. We use Tidy cat, for mutiple cats, cat litter and the rest of the apt is carpeted. She does use her box also, we scoop it out regularly.

A UTI in a cat is really no different than if we have a UTI. Just as with humans, there is no over-the-counter remedy that will work as effectively as a prescription antibiotic. Please take your kitty to the vet and get a proper diagnosis and treatment.
